Recommended Acclimation Procedure

In our experience, we have found that our fish do better after being shipped, with a simple float to temperature, acclimate and then release. We ship our fish at a salinity between 1.024-1.026. With this method, the fish experience far less stress than with the dripping method. We do not ship fish in water with any medications but recommend when adding your new fish, not to allow any of the water from the bag into the tank. Once a bag is opened, it builds up toxicity from ammonia and can be harmful to the overall health of the tank. We reserve the right to not cover the death of a specimen if not acclimated according to our recommended acclimation procedure.
